Enjoy a fairly leisurely ride that offers an opportunity to ride along a section of route that once was Hadrian's Wall, visit the Roman site of Bleatarn that sits beside a low section of the Wall excavations (vallums), passes one of the best Butcher's Shops in the region, also Carlisle's only remaining Brewery and traverses the stunning Wetheral Viaduct, before returning to Carlisle over the River Petteril and passing by Gallows Hill, where the Jacobites from the siege of 1745 were put to death....
